Paperback´HEROES Kindle ¹ heroes ebok, poche pdf, HEROES PDFEPUBLove it Have read this and MYTHOS loved them both Enlightening and so easy to read Yes it is all simplified but that worked for me to get a grounding in the Greek myths and legends in readiness to get back into the Iliad and the Odyssey both of which I realised would make no sense unless I knew which God did what and these two books totally enlightened me Clever man Stephen Fry can't wait for TROY but I do plan to read a classic version Beautifully written in an amusing upbeat way that would make it a great read whether or not you were interested in the subject matter

Paperback´HEROES Kindle ¹ heroes ebok, poche pdf, HEROES PDFEPUBI loved reading this account of the heroes of Ancient Greece including Hercules Orpheus Odysseus and of course Jason and his uest for the Golden Fleece There are lots of monsters here too centaurs the minotaur the cyclopes multi headed dogs and multi headed serpents to name but a few lots of challenges for the heroes to tackle sometimes with the help of the gods sometimes despite their interventionsThe tales are told in a very engaging and entertaining style and I learned a lot and filled in all kinds of gaps in my knowledge There is a lot here to remember but it is real pleasure to read in any eventHaving read this volume and also Mythos I am really looking forward to what I expect to be the third volume covering the Troj

Paperback´HEROES Kindle ¹ heroes ebok, poche pdf, HEROES PDFEPUBFor anybody who is interested in Greek Mythology this book is a must However get also his first book MYTHOS I am Greek and I had just one tenth of the knowledge presented in these two books Stephen Fry is a genius and has so much knowledge on the subject The books are written in an entertaining way with clever dramatic license introduced by the author In fact these two books should be standard text books for those who study classics
