Running in Bed MOBI ê Running inPDF EPUB ² running kindle, Running in free, Running in Bed EpubI do not speak nor write Hebrew Aramaic nor Greek; I have to trust Biblical translators I have no innate sense of mechanics; I have to trust the people who write build instructions My life is NOTHING like either of the 2 main characters in this novelbut I fully understood the people the situations the dialog and the emotions of this fantastic book DC is not NYC; the Frat House is not The Saint; dancing at Badlands is not a Tea Dance; and P Street Beach is not Fire Islandyet I know every character in this book And this is this guy's FIRST novel I enjoyed this as much as Paul Monette or John IrvingOh I just LOVED the subtle way he explained the acronyms and technology of the 80sSuperbly don

Running in Bed MOBI ê Running inPDF EPUB ² running kindle, Running in free, Running in Bed EpubA Perfect EvocationIf you're looking for a book to help understand the gay experience in NYC before and during the AIDS crisis of the 80's this is the book With a first person perspective the writer walks us through the heady days of the gay scene in the 1970's NYC but without turning into erotica It then carries us on into the confusion fear and heartbreak of the 1980's The characters are well formed the situations believable and you come to care for and fear for these people You will find yourself both grieved and uplifted by the time it's done

Running in Bed MOBI ê Running inPDF EPUB ² running kindle, Running in free, Running in Bed EpubI really enjoyed this book; it was not only an engaging story but also was set in a historical context that made it much interesting My only complaint is that there were many editing mistakes that distracted me missing words wrong order of words etc while reading and took me out of the story I'm sure this is a small publisher but please proofread before publishing Other than that I loved it and definitely recommend it

Running in Bed MOBI ê Running inPDF EPUB ² running kindle, Running in free, Running in Bed EpubRunning in Bed tells the story of a gay man living in New York City in the 70s This was definitely a promising premise as that was a setting in which the gay pride movement was really gaining momentum but HIVAIDS was also appearing The story follows Josh a successful young advertising exec as he comes to accept himself as a gay man and tries to find his Prince Charming He becomes rather obsessed in uite an unhealthy way I think with a guy named Tommy seemingly just from seeing him once at the beachWhat I liked Seeing the major events in the gay community unfold from the point of view of someone who was living through them and therefore not realising how historically significant they would be was really interesting I learned a l

Running in Bed MOBI ê Running inPDF EPUB ² running kindle, Running in free, Running in Bed EpubI really loved this book and I think anyone gay or straight who wants to know what life was like for a young gay person in this country the period covered 70s 80s would enjoy the novel I was just in high school at the time but I remember reading about gay rights before I acknowledged they might actually apply to me and this book zips through that time and how exciting it was for the young gay guys at that time only to have it all come crashing down with AIDS This isn't a political bookit's just a good old fashioned love story with two gay men at the center who just happen to b

Running in Bed MOBI ê Running inPDF EPUB ² running kindle, Running in free, Running in Bed EpubI got through the book faster than I intended which is good and bad LOL I was drawn to the novel largely because of the time period in which it is set Though I missed most of it I have a special affinity for the 1970s TV music some films The early to mid 1980s have recently become another area of interest particularly as it relates to the onset of AIDS and the response or lack thereof to it A friend of mine was in his early 30s at this time and continues to marvel to this day about how he was spared when he did all the same things as many of his contemporaries who passed away 15 20 25 30 years ago As for the book I loved how it progressed from the story of a young man starting out

Running in Bed MOBI ê Running inPDF EPUB ² running kindle, Running in free, Running in Bed EpubI think the publisher has done a disservice categorizing this as Gay Fiction since it's a very good novel for any reader including a middle aged straight mother of two like myself A friend of mine gave me this book since she thought I would enjoy it I used to live and work in New York City in the 1980s and I knew of many people who were affected by AIDS I say knew of instead of knew since I didn't really know them well at all personally but I wished I had and reading this book really helped me understand what that era must have been like for these young menstruggling with coming out in a society that mostly demonized and isolated themand then once they were out facing the greatest medical crisis of our day This is NOT gay fiction it's a well written story about people lives places loves losses it's just plain old damn good fiction that takes the reader on an exciting page turning ride with lots of smiles and some tears along the way Highly re

Running in Bed MOBI ê Running inPDF EPUB ² running kindle, Running in free, Running in Bed EpubSet in New York City in the late 70s and into the 80s this is the drama of those who went from a hedonistic lifestyle to one that changed everyone regardless of their sexual orientation As AIDS appeared on the scene it began as a mysterious set of symptoms to the recognition of it as a disease to ineffective treatments as thousands of people died Especially hard hit was the gay communityMr Sharlach’s first novel shows great promise for him as a writer of fiction His characters are well developed and his plot flows as if he had kept a diary of dai
